Stress and Resilience

The ASSET Work Well Questionnaire - Helping individuals improve their well-being

ASSET can be used as an individual assessment and development tool. The ASSET Work Well report highlights how well a person is coping with the work pressures he/she faces and the impact this is having on his/her commitment to the organisation and his/her health.

Individual employees can either receive the ASSET Work Well Report as part of a targeted support and development initiative (for example clients often provide Occupational Health Nurses or Counsellors with a number of licenses to use with clients), as part of an organisational development programme (e.g. Development Centres) or as part of a full organisational ASSET audit.

ASSET Model

The ASSET Work Well Report can help staff to understand the impact that certain sources of pressure can have on them. It can provide the basis for a constructive discussion about how to cope with workplace stress more effectively. Ultimately, it is the first step in helping staff to understand their stress situation and then take control of it.

Many organisations also find that the ASSET Work Well Report is a valuable return to work aid. Using the report a short time after an employee returns to work after an illness can highlight how well the support mechanisms are working and help to prevent subsequent repeat absence.
