Improving Well-being

Implementing a well-being policy

When organisations start to engage with the issues of health and well-being at work, one of the first challenges they face is putting together a comprehensive well-being or work-related stress policy. Certain statutory and generic aspects will need to be included in such a policy, but there are also likely to be elements of the policy that are specific to your organisation and the sector in which it operates. Getting the first version of a well-being / stress policy right and understanding the current well-being situation in the organisation can be challenging. It is also common to encounter resistance to the kind of changes in working practice that policies of this nature imply for managers and staff alike.

Robertson Cooper can help to take the pain out of developing and implementing a bespoke well-being policy. Because we have surveyed well-being in more than 70 organisations, we understand the causes of stress at work, as well as the relevant policies, processes, procedures and behaviour changes that contribute to instilling a sense of well-being in the workforce.
